Analysis of objectives

Developing a human resource plan is a task that requires analysis of the objectives of the business / strategic plan.

Every objective requires work to be done, and work requires people.

What sort of people the business needs depends on what work needs to be done.

Defining the work to be done from a set of objectives requires knowledge, experience, skill and hard work.

A business may have many objectives. For example, a soccer club might have set objectives to reach in participation, coaching, player development, sponsorship, and development of facilities. Each of these objectives will require considerable work by many individuals. Human resources planning is about identifying what people are needed to achieve these business objectives.
